now, as the brand steps into it's next era, a new generation of leadership is shaping the future. at the helm is a talented team. in this edition of ‘moochi people’, we highlight these four individuals, our general manager Nicole skilton,

head of brand and merchandise Alex phillips, Lead design creative Rebecca batley-alder, and head of marketing and australian business manager Morgan Taylor, daughter of kellie and chris. set against the backdrop of ph digital, we explore their roles, gather their insights, and uncover what makes moochi, moochi

tell us about yourselves and your role?

nicole: as general manager, no day is the same! I’m a leader who has an open door policy, and likes to be involved in the hustle, no person or problem is off limits. my day can be anything from urgent bau decisions to growth strategy planning and anything in between, it’s always a balancing act of priorities. we are a passionate, high performing team, always striving for the best. I’m very proud of my moochi family and the beautiful product we deliver weekly to our customers

rebecca: as the lead design creative for moochi, my role is varied, challenging and creative focused. I am very hands on in my role (actually quite literally!) as I still sketch by hand. I collaborate closely with our product and merchandise team to finalise the selection of designs for each palette and with our technical team to oversee the garment fittings for each design. from design, to production, to campaign, I love seeing each range through to completion and into store

alex: I lead brand, retail and merchandise teams at moochi, connecting our product, customer, and brand stories into one seamless experience. my focus is on strategy and storytelling, working with design, planning, and creative to ensure every piece we deliver feels purposeful and inspiring for the women who wear moochi

morgan: my role as marketing and australian business manager has me constantly on my toes (in a good way!) with customers being at the forefront of every decision we make, every day is different but just as important. I tend to work behind the scenes, focusing on numbers, trends and customer experience to ensure that as we plan forward, moochi can continue to grow with you and deliver a premium experience at every touch point

What do you love about being part of Moochi?

nicole: moochi is such a passionate and creative business, like no other I’ve worked in. working alongside the talented team is such a privilege. the energy and buzz you get from being a part of it is incredible. I love being part of such an amazing success story, and one that has such a positive impact on people’s lives

alex: the people and the hustle. everyone here genuinely cares about what we do and who we do it for. I love the collaboration across design, retail, and creative, and the way every small decision feeds into something bigger for our customer

rebecca: moochi is such an iconic brand, and I feel so proud to be a part of the moochi team. we are such a hardworking bunch of people that are always collaborating and exploring ideas together. there is a lot of passion in our design pod, right through to our integral retail team who are at the forefront of our customers journey

morgan: the people and their passion. everybody has such a passion for what they do. whether it’s our retail team, a customer, or our head office team. everybody loves moochi

What draws you to a garment?

Morgan: Every day I dress to feel confident and be the best version of myself! The three things that dictate my style are always quality natural fabrications, flattering shapes/proportions for my body type and comfort. I don’t think there is anything more empowering than waking up, putting on an outfit you love and feel confident in!

How do you stay balanced while wearing so
many hats?

Alex: I focus on rhythm more than balance. Some days lean creative, others operational, and that’s ok. I make time to reset early in the day, move, think clearly, and protect that space. At work, it’s about trusting the team and building strong frameworks so things can flow.

Which item in your wardrobe do you reach for
most often?

Rebecca: I’m a big fan of our moochi pants and blazers (and the dresses and tops) but, as I’m often knee deep in fabric swatches, I tend to lean into core moochi shapes. our pant silhouettes offer a fresh take on contemporary styling. our cocoon and barrel shapes flatter the figure and when pared with even a simple tee can create an elevated look

How has your personal style evolved over the years?

Nicole: As I’ve got older I have become more contemporary with how I dress, and have the confidence to try different styles. I was always very feminine, generally in a dress or skirt paired with a cinched belt and heels. Lately you will find me in an oversized shirt with jeans, or pants. But for a night out I still embrace the look of a nice dress and heels
