meet georgie, a familiar face from moochi lane and an undeniable style powerhouse. embodying confidence and individuality, she has been part of the moochi journey and its style evolution

You’ve been part of the moochi family for a long time - what first drew you to the brand, and what keeps you inspired here?
I was first drawn to moochi because it captures everything I love about style — timeless, edgy, and modern. What keeps me inspired is being part of a brand that evolves with each season while staying true to its identity, and seeing how much our customers love what we do.

How would you describe your personal style
in three words?
Chic/feminine – Minimalist – Classic

Has your style evolved since working at moochi, and if so, how?
Yes! When I first started at moochi, my style was very feminine. Over time, it’s evolved into being “more moochi,” as we say in-store. I think your style naturally evolves when you’re immersed in the brand every day. Being able to experiment with different styles, shapes, and pieces has helped me discover what I love and what works for me.

Wellington has such a distinct energy — how does the city influence the way you dress or shop?
Wellington has such a vibe — there are so many different styles on the streets, and you really feel free to be yourself here. I love walking around the city, seeing what people are wearing, and finding inspiration in the details.

Any local spots around moochi lane that you’d recommend for coffee, food,
or a little inspiration break?

For coffee, my go-to is Dylan’s on Lambton Quay — they have the best coffee.
And if you love pizza, Slice on Lombard Lane is a must!

As 2IC, you see both the creative and customer sides of moochi.
What do you love most about this balance?

What I love most is that I get to be creative with merchandising and bringing garments to life, while also styling and helping our customers feel amazing and confident. That mix of creativity and connection is what makes working at moochi so rewarding

Do you have a standout memory or milestone from your time with
moochi that you’ll never forget?

One standout memory was when I returned to moochi for a visit after having my son. The new manager told me that customers were still asking about me and wondering where I was. Hearing that made me so happy — it was such a special reminder that I had built genuine connections and left a lasting impression.

What’s your favourite piece from the current collection, and how would you style it?
My favourite piece is the Leashed Top. For a day look, I’d style it with the black Ranging Pant, Shield Wedge, the Dome Bangle Stack, and a silk head scarf — the detail at the front really elevates it. For a night or event look, I’d turn the top around so the gathered pull-cord detail is at the back, pair it with the Frame Bias Pant or Allot Short, Loft Ankle Strap Heels, a gold spate bracelet, and the Fold Tote.

Are there any moochi classics you think every wardrobe should have?
A Mesh Skin is a must — it’s a versatile layering piece. I also love the Frame Bias Pant; it’s effortless and looks luxe when paired with a shirt or oversized T-shirt.

Who are your personal style icons?
My first style icon was definitely my mum — she always looked fabulous and really inspired me growing up. I also love Abby Silverman, Cosmopolitan’s Digital Content Creator, for her fun, creative, and effortless approach to fashion. Beyond that, I find inspiration everywhere, especially on social media, where I enjoy following streetwear pages and seeing what people are wearing in places like New York and Europe.
